HIGH TOWER ARMORY 90/22 10 22 PS90 STOCK – From tactical training to plinking, varmint hunting to home defense, the HTA 90/22™ from High Tower Armory™ is the perfect stock system for your shooting needs. The High Tower Armory 90/22 is a compact, maneuverable stock kit for the Ruger® 10/22® which utilizes a fully ambidextrous bullpup design for superior balance and ergonomics. This incredibly durable, military grade polymer stock will reduce the overall length of most 10/22’s to about 26 1/2 inches, just over the federally required minimum length for rifles. The HTA 90/22 also features a CNC machined monolithic aluminum Picatinny optics rail and aluminum bedding block, as well as an ambidextrous steel charging handle which cycles the factory 10/22 bolt from forward positions. The HTA 90/22 trigger linkage is made of Melonite treated steel for the most consistent and efficient transfer of energy, having a resistance to flex three times greater than aluminum by weight. A safety extension is included to allow the original factory safety to be activated, in addition to a safety selector located near the trigger. Also included is both an extended magazine and automatic bolt release which replace the factory releases and allow for much faster manipulation of your rifle’s controls. Additionally, a shell deflector can be attached to the stock making it safe and comfortable to shoot left handed. This kit comes complete with a removable dummy suppressor, two side mounted Picatinny rails, and a detachable ammunition storage box for holding spare rounds in the field. Accepts factory 10 round magazines as well as most aftermarket high capacity magazines. Fits factory 18 1/2″ and .920″ bull barrels at least 18 inches in length (17 1/4 inches from receiver face to muzzle). Made in the USA. *Ruger 10/22 not included.
IMPORTANT: PLEASE CHECK THAT YOUR RUGER 10/22 BARREL IS AT LEAST 18” IN LENGTH. MOST 10/22 barrels are long enough to produce a legal length rifle in the 90/22 stock system. However, some 10/22 variants and aftermarket barrels are shorter than 18″. Federal law requires rifles to have a minimum overall length of 26”. The HTA 90/22 requires a minimum barrel length of 18″ to achieve the 26″ overall length. You can check your barrel length by removing the barrel from the 10/22 receiver and measuring it from muzzle to breech.

Question: How can I tell if my 10/22 barrel is long enough to have a legal length rifle (26 inches) when installed in the 90/22?
Answer: MOST 10/22 factory barrels are of legal length. These include 10/22 carbine barrels that are considered 18 1/2 inches long. The HTA 90/22 is a bullpup style stock, which will shorten most 10/22 rifles to within 1/2 of an inch of the legal minimum length by moving the receiver and barrel rearward relative to a traditional stock. It is still very important, however, to check your rifle for length before purchasing the HTA 90/22 to avoid potential legal issues
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) requires a minimum overall length of 26 inches and a minimum barrel length of 16 inches on all rifles. YOU MAY NOT COUNT DETACHABLE MUZZLE DEVICES TOWARDS BARREL AND/OR OVERALL RIFLE LENGTH. The ATF does not consider removable barrel attachments as part of a barrel and therefore you must measure from the muzzle crown, not the end of a flash suppressor, muzzle break, etc that can be unscrewed. However, welded or integrally machined, non removable barrel attachments DO count towards barrel and overall length. It is a felony to be in possession of a rifle that does not meet these requirements, without having gone through the proper channels first. High Tower Armory is not responsible for legal fees and other expenses resulting from failure to properly check the length of your rifle, both before purchase and after installation. It is also the end user’s responsibility to check their local laws and regulations regarding the legality of this stock.
There are two methods for verifying that your rifle will reach the minimum length in this stock. The first method is to measure from the muzzle of the rifle (not including a removable muzzle device) to the point the barrel enters the receiver. In other words, measure the amount of barrel that is exposed. This length must be at least 17 1/4 inches. See image “Method 1”
The second method requires you to measure your 10/22 from the butt end of the receiver to the muzzle (not including a removable muzzle device). This length must be at least 23 3/8″ inches for a legal length rifle. See Image “Method 2”

High Tower Armory, LLC also highly recommends checking the overall length of your rifle once a HTA 90/22 kit is installed, to further verify the legality of your rifle.
Question: Will the HTA 90/22 work with .920 bull barrels?
Answer: Yes, any barrels with a .920 diameter will fit in the 90/22, as long as they are of legal length.
Question: Will the HTA 90/22 accept aftermarket magazines?
Answer: Yes, most aftermarket high capacity magazines will fit in the HTA 90/22. However, some magazines, including “tear-drop” mags, drum-mags, and Butler CreekTM mags that have protruding knobs for linking two mags together, may not fit into the 90/22 mag-well. EagleTM, Shooter’s RidgeTM, Ruger factory rotary magazines, and Ruger BX-25TMmagazines are a few examples of magazines that will work in the HTA 90/22.

CMMG MK4 HT 22 AR15 UPPER RECEIVER
I have been following CMMG’s progress with their .22LR AR22 line of hardware since the SIERRA was announced years ago. I bought the SIERRA and have been enjoying it since. By most reports the overall quality of CMMG products has improved in the last couple years. Perhaps I will order the MK4 HT and see how it compares to it’s older sibling SIERRA.
CMMG MK4 HT 22 AR15 UPPER RECEIVER – the CMMG MK4 HT dedicated .22 LR AR15 FLATTOP UPPER RECEIVER lets you do live-fire training with affordable rimfire ammo while retaining the weight, balance, and feel of your rifle. Replace your existing upper with the AR22, load the included Black Dog .22 LR magazine, and you’re ready to shoot. You practice with your existing trigger and fire control components, so the trigger pull feels the same. The mil-spec receiver has a standard MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail, charging handle, forward assist (non-functioning), and ejection port cover. Inside, the standard bolt/carrier assembly is replaced by a dedicated “bolt rail” of hardened tool steel with a blowback operated stainless steel bolt inside.
