Like you we can’t leave well enough alone, In fact often times a .22 is purchased with the intention of not that it is but what it will  become after we throw some time and money at it. We also get bored so don’t be surprised if a project is completed and then recycled or reinvented into a new project. It’s not an admission we weren’t happy with the results. Economics also play a role. We pay for everything out of pocket and can’t afford to buy a new gun for every new idea. It’s also referred to as keeping the peace with the significant other.
